The Whau Festival is back! A fun filled festival for children and adults to enjoy. This year’s theme is Dream. Weave. Navigate.

Kumu Aruna will teach 1-hour poly workshop to keiki (children) from 5 - 12 years old through Hawaiian hula and other pacific movement to create, navigate a tale of reconnecting using with their ancestors, journeying through time.

Kumu Aruna will be travelling with the keiki through time to the music from the film Moana.

Since its conception, Hālau Ka Waikahe Lani Mālie has delivered programmes across Auckland and Sydney, Australia. We have taught at University of Auckland, Auckland City Council, Auckland Museum, community centres and festivals. We have made television show appearances, performed for both private and corporate functions including team bonding workshops.
